We adopted Shadow from ITV in October of 2016. Shadow is a 1.5 year old German Shepherd mix. She had a connection with my fiancé from the beginning. We met her on a Tuesday and as soon as we left the shelter I knew we needed to adopt her. That evening we did the paper work to adopt her but wanted to have time to get the supplies. We picked her up on the following Thursday and has been with us ever since.
Initially we were nervous about adopting an “older” dog. But it has turned out to be the best thing. When we brought Shadow home she was already house trained, leash trained, and followed simple commands. She does great with our 5 year old daughter and our daughter enjoys helping care for her. She is so loving and loyal to our family. We are so happy we decided to rescue.
