Volunteer

Your Help is Needed!

Volunteers are always wanted and appreciated.  Our Volunteers are heroes to the many animals who pass through the ITV Center.  You can make a difference in many ways.  You may wish to work directly with the animals, at community events, or helping with rescue center operations. Please complete the following application to help us identify your interests.

ALL volunteers (community service included) are required to complete a brief orientation which is scheduled monthly. Volunteers are also required to purchase our RED volunteer t-shirt (cost $20), which is available at the rescue center during open hours.  Once you complete the application below, you will receive an email with details about our monthly volunteer orientation, which is done via ZOOM and it is approximately 30 minutes long.

We welcome younger volunteers.  For the safety of our dogs and everyone involved, teenagers 14-15 years old must have an adult present while volunteering at the rescue center.  Teenagers 16-17 years old may volunteer, but everyone under 18 years old must have their legal guardian sign a permission slip/release.  We are sorry, but we generally cannot accept volunteers under 14 years old at the rescue center. If younger volunteers want to get involved in other ways, please feel free to email us at volunteers@itvrescue.org.

For questions about our program, please email volunteers@itvrescue.org.  Please note that we can only accept a limited number of volunteers on any given day so you must schedule a volunteer time via email prior to coming to the rescue to volunteer.

  • Please note that some mobile devices are not compatible with our form. It is best to complete this application on a computer or you can email us at info@itvrescue.org for more information.
  • 18 is the minimum age for volunteers to be at the shelter alone. For volunteers who are 16-17, a parent or legal guardian must sign a liability waiver at the shelter. Volunteers who are 15 & under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times while at the shelter.
