Our Evansville Rescue Center is located at 1417 N. Stockwell Road, Evansville, IN. The Evansville Rescue is open Tuesdays 12-5, Wednesdays 12-7, Thursdays 12-5, Fridays 12-5 and Saturdays 10-5.
Our Spencer County Rescue Center is located at 824 E County Road 800 North, Chrisney, IN. The Spencer County Rescue is open Tuesdays 12-5, Wednesdays 12-5, Fridays 12-5 and Saturdays 12-5.
You are welcome to visit us during rescue hours to see some of our adoptable animals. All the animals living at the ITV rescue center are available for immediate adoption.
We do have a short application process if you’re interested in one of our animals! It includes filling out an adoption application and adopter’s agreement (found HERE)! Once we receive your application, we will look over it to ensure that we are placing the animal with the most appropriate home. We do our best to match you with the most appropriate animal for your home and lifestyle. ITV takes pride in getting to know each animal to the best of our ability. The adoption process may include questions about the application and/or checking references. Upon application approval, you will be able to take your new family member home the same day for animals at the ITV Rescue Center.
About 60% of our available animals are in foster homes. If you do not come into the rescue center, you are welcome to complete an adoption application online. Upon approval of the adoption application, we will contact you to set up a time to visit animal you are interested in! If the animal you are interested in is a foster home, we will coordinate a time with the foster family to meet you at the ITV Rescue Center.
The adoption fee varies with each animal. Generally, however, the adoption fee is $200 for large adults and $250 for small dogs and puppies. Adult cat adoption fee is generally $100, kitten adoption fee is generally $125. Adult dogs receive spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip and heartworm test. Puppies receive spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip and de-worming. Kitten/cats receive spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, feline testing and de-working. The adoption fee includes a lifetime microchip for your animal. The vetting and medical treatment may vary depending on the animal. We do our best to ensure the health of each ITV animal, although we can not guarantee the complete health of every animal. Even if we spend significantly more than the normal adoption fee on an animal, which is often the case, we do not raise the adoption fee.
ITV may contact you for more information about any part of your application if we have a question. Sometimes, we get multiple applications for the same animal so and we will let you know that your application is approved, but the animals has an adoption pending. If we have an animal who we feel would be more appropriate for your current lifestyle and home, we will definitely suggest him/her to you for consideration!
